Centers of Excellence (COE)
As of September 2026, the Government of India, under the National Policy for Rare Diseases (NPRD) 2021, has notified 16 Centers of Excellence (COEs) for rare disease care across India.
Patients/caregivers are advised to visit their nearest COE with all medical reports of the patient for evaluation and registration in the government’s Digital Portal for Crowdfunding and CSR Donations for Rare Diseases, which can be accessed here.
